RAMATHASWAMY TEMPLE

 

Ramathaswamy temple is historical land mark of the town which has deep rooted with Ramayana. The temple dedicated to lord Shiva, lingam which has made by sand in the Ramayanam time is called as Ramalingam, located near the sea called as Agni theertham.

Visiting time: 4AM to 1PM and 3PM to 8PM.


RAMAR PAATHAM

 

Ramar paadhamis also called as Gandhamadhana parvatham which is located in the sandy hill rock, the temple dedicated to lord Rama, lord Rama’s feet imprinted in the temple, as per the reference in the epic Ramayana.

Visiting time: 6AM to 6PM.


PAMBAN BRIDGE


Pamban Bridge is a unique bridge which is connecting Rameshwaram Island and main land with 2.2Kms of length, bridge is opened for the public on 1914.

Visiting time: Day time will be better for the view, you can’t park your vehicle on the bridge fine will be applied, park your vehicle according to that.


DHANUSH KODI AND RAMSETU


Dhanush kodi is located 20Kms away from Rameshwaram, it is referred as the “last land of India” as it’s the land where mainland ends. From Dhanushkodi they built a Ramasetu which connects Srilanka, as mentioned in Ramayana.
